Curly Leaf Pondweed – First Identified

Curly Leaf pondweed was identified in Lake John in two of the surveys commissioned by the association in 2012 and 2013.  The Association received a permit to treat 27.6 acres of Curly Leaf Pondweed.  The first map shows we have close to 120 acres of it.  Permitted chemical control may not exceed 15% of the total littoral area as stated in MR 6280.0350.  The second map shows the area that was treated on May 23, 2013, May 7, 2014 and most recently treat on 4/29/15.  Learn more.
