Some of the conservation goals of the Lake John Association include:
- Assist in the conservation and preservation of the natural resources of Lake John
- Promote the care and betterment of Lake John
- Have better fishing by means of proper stocking, removal of “rough fish” and providing suitable spawning areas wherever possible
- Have a clean lake, free of pollution, litter-bug refuse, excessive weeds, and the green scum of algae
The following are some of the efforts we have dedicated time and resources to:
- Invasive Species Management
- Lake John Vegetation Management Plan
- Protecting Our Lake and Lake Management
- Walleye Stocking
- Planting of 360 river bulrush in the summer of 2009 as a memorial to our past president, Gordy Peterson.
