18.1 acres of Eurasian watermilfoil were treated via the “split system” today. Signs were posted along the shoreline of 7105 to 7295 Newcomb Avenue NW. Signatures were gathered late last fall for approval to treat within 150 feet adjacent to those shorelines. A big thank you to Steve and Jodi Campbell for the use of their pontoon and to Joe Fleskes for driving the pontoon and being the navigator of the GPS. There are no swimming restrictions. Do NOT drink the water from the treated areas or use for domestic purposes until 7/30; do not irrigate food crops or ornamentals until 7/30. There is no restriction on fish consumption.
