I toured our lake this evening, Thursday, May 18, 2016. I observed a pair of Loons with at least one chick by Rocky Point. I also saw a lone Loon on the Southeastern shoreline. I might have seen loons in the far South Western corner of our Lake too, but nothing definite. I saw a pair in that area earlier and previously reported.
I also flushed a pair of herons coming out of the large bog along the Southeastern shoreline. They may have a nest.
There was an Eagle high in the dead tree deep in the Finger Bay, but I did not approach to see any nest detail or occupancy.
